Hair loss is a cause for major concern among people as it affects the personality of the affected. Causes:
- Improper use of hair products:
Many people use chemical treatment on their hair like dyes, tints, straightners etc. these treatments if done correctly rarely damage your hair. However excessive use of these products can damage your hair.
- Shampooing, and combing to often:
Shampooing and combing are necessary for the health of the hair but excessive approach to both these can lead to hair damage and loss.
- Hairstyles:
Some hairstyles are taxing to the hair as they are pulling the hair or the hair are in an unnatural position for long periods of time (like the troop cut). These things cause hair loss.
- Blow Drying :
Extreme heat damages the protein in the hair and makes them weak and liable to break off. Brushing the hair during this process is even more damaging.
- Inadequate protein in diet:
Some people who go on harsh diets with low protein consumption are candidates for hair loss as the body takes protein from the allocated for helping the growth of the hair.
These are the causes which a person can avoid other causes as the heredity thinning or balding, child birth, high fever, cancer treatments and other major surgeries also result in hair loss but they are not discussed in detail as they are not avoidable |
